Dallas Metro Dream Center has a big mission, and we cannot complete it by ourselves! There are opportunities throughout the year for you or your group to get involved.
Opportunities:Metro Kidz: Metro Kidz runs in two semesters: March-June, and September-December. Individuals and teams can join with us to reach at-risk children, right in their own neighborhood. Volunteers are needed for visitation route workers and Metro Kidz program workers.
ARK Days: On the last Saturday of the month, from September through May, ARK needs individuals and groups to participate. Each outreach is different, so there is a perfect fit for your group.
Operation: Dallas: Throughout the year, teams come and work with us in various neighborhoods. Metro Kidz programs, special outreaches and service projects take place throughout the inner city. Groups of any size are welcome.
Christmas Store: Each year, we serve hundreds of families by providing toys for children. The Christmas store must be staffed by people who are willing to guide parents through the store, restock toys and clothes, and carry items to vehicles.
Thanksgiving Food: In order to provide as much food as possible to families, it takes a lot of hands! Volunteers are needed to make food baskets, and to distribute them through Metro Kidz and other venues.
Christmas Stockings: The highlight of the Fall Metro Kidz semester is the Christmas Stocking Giveaway. Volunteers are needed to help distribute stockings. Hundreds of children show up to each program, so it is vital that we have as many people as possible to help hand out stockings.
