Christmas can be a very trying time for inner city families. Parents are often forced to choose between food on the table or toys for their children. Often, Christmas morning dawns with nothing under the tree, if there is even a tree.

Each year, DMDC provides toys for thousands of children through our Christmas Store. Parents in the community can sign up for assistance, at no cost to them. Instead of taking toys to them, they are able to come to us and handpick toys, stuffed animals and stocking stuffers for each of their children. Because we believe that those in need of assistance deserve a quality experience, each parent receives individual attention and is guided through the store by a volunteer. Parents leave the Store with brand new toys, and a brand new attitude.
