Thanksgiving

As the holidays grow nearer, the desperation and hoplessness in the inner-city grows more evident. Thanksgiving is one of the most jouful times of the year, yet among the people we minister to, joy is scarcely found. Every year we meet families who have nothing, and want nothing more than for the holidays to be over; it seems that one of the happiest times of the year causes the most grief. It burdens us that while we are enjoying our delicious Thanksgiving meals surrounded by loved ones, there are people in Dallas, one of the most affluent cities in America, who can't even afford a bag of potatoes.

Since 1993, Dallas Metro Dream Center has stood in the gap for these people. Every year we provide Baskets of Love to needy families, and you can be a part. For only $25 you can provide a family with a turkey, potatoes, dressing, and all the essentials to make a proper Thanksgiving dinner. Below is a list of suggested items if you would like to make your own baskets to send. All donations need to be in by November 13. For more information please contact our office.
