Mobile Food Bank

In 2013, Dallas Independent School District requested funding to allow 100% if its students to have free breakfast and lunch. Prior to this request, over 80% of enrolled students were on meal assistance. The communities we serve have a major food crisis. When kids are not in school, meals are often few and far between.

The Mobile Food Bank addresses this problem by distributing groceries all over Dallas as the need arises. Through corporate and individual partnerships, we are able to provide groceries for over 500 children weekly. The Mobile Food Bank arrives in neighborhoods concurrently with Metro Kidz, and any parent present is able to receive groceries for their family. We believe that every child deserves to have enough food at all times, and we are committed to filling this need in our community.
